About Anglia. Journal of English Philology / Zeitschrift für englische Philologie

Anglia. Journal of English Philology / Zeitschrift für englische Philologie was founded in 1878 by Moritz Trautmann and Richard P. Wülker, and is thus the oldest journal of English Studies worldwide. Anglia covers the whole field of anglophone languages and literatures. It features peer-reviewed essays on English linguistics, English literature from the Middle Ages to the present, American literature, the New English literatures, and on general and comparative literary studies, including literary and cultural theory. Anglia also publishes reviews from all of the above mentioned areas.

Edited by Lucia Kornexl, Ursula Lenker, Martin Middeke, Gabriele Rippl, and Hubert Zapf.
